About the Editor

Moira Allen has long had a passion for Britain and all things British. In 2007, she and her husband moved to England for nearly 18 months; she returned home with several boxes of Victorian books and magazines, and about 17,000 digital photos! (Eventually, those photos should make it to her photography website.)

Allen has been writing professionally for more than 25 years and is the author of more than 300 articles and seven books. She is also an avid developer of websites, currently managing four of her own as well as one for her sister and another for her husband. One of her best-known sites is Writing-World.com, one of the world's largest and most popular sites for writers, attracting more than 1 million visitors per year. Allen also hosts TimeTravel-Britain.com, a site covering historic British travel destinations.

Allen currently lives in Maryland with her husband and two computer-savvy cats. This spring, when not writing HTML or scanning magazines, she has been enjoying watching three families of Canada geese, whose offspring have been growing into adulthood on the pond behind her home.
